It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so I have a few little updates.
To start things off I am excited that my sister will be having her little girl in three days! I can't wait to see what she looks like. And im so excited to see Carson be a big brother, it's so sweet how excited he is. Today was also my middle sisters birthday, I hate feeling like im missing out on family events but when we all live so far away it just happens that way. Thankfully we have technology where we can see each other when we talk on the phone but that's not really enough.

Crazy how things go from being out of style to back in style. Im super excited about my new high waisted shorts!! I found an old pair of jeans that fit perfectly above my waist and I got my sweet husband to cut them for me and then I rolled them up twice to make the style a little
 cuter:)

My last post I was venting a little bit about finances. Christian starts his second job next week but until then it's been really tight on money. I am so thankful for the people In our lives who believe in us and love us. Today a good friend/mento of ours filled up our gas tank and blessed us aiming groceries!!! Thankyou Jesus for always providing and for the people you put in our lives. I am truly blessed!!

Hardships and Love

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart-Proverbs
For the past couple of months my husband and I have really been struggling financially. We have been having car problems and having a hard time paying for bills etc. But I know that God is faithful and my provider. It's really hard to be faithful in times like this but I know we will come out of it positive. I know that God has always provided for me during hard times and during the good times. One thing that I love is my sweet husband always takes care of me. He knows I can get really overwhelmed when I get stressed out or worried about how we are going to pay for everything and he always finds a way to take care of everything and I love him so much for that.

But on a good note two of our good friends are getting married this weekend and I couldn't be happier. I love them so much and they are such an amazing couple. I love weddings so much, it's a time to celebrate friends and to join together as one. It's a new exciting journey that you get to enjoy the rest of your life. I believe that every wedding is different and I love to see how everything turns out and all the different things they incorporate in their wedding.

And the most exciting this is....7 days from now I will have been married to my best friend for 2 years!!!! And I am stoked to spend some quality time with him and enjoy our anniversary :D

This post is a little bit scattered but I needed to vent a little and share the excitement of my friends and my anniversary! Love you all

Dessert Time

So Memorial Day is just around the corner. I will be spending it at the lake with friends and BBQ'n it up and playing some volleyball. I think it will be fun to bake something so I found a recipe I think will be perfect.

http://www.recipe.com/ice-cream-cake/

1 box (1 pound) individually wrapped chocolate creme filled cakes (8 per package) such as Suzy Q's

2 cups (1 pint) of your favorite ice cream

1/2 teaspoon mint extract, if using mint icecream

2 cups frozen nondairy whipped topping, thawed

DIRECTIONS

Line 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 5/8 inch loaf pan with plastic wrap, with plastic overhanging edges. Remove wrapping from 8 cakes. Press 4 cakes into bottom of pan, so the long sides of the individual cakes are parallel with short end of loaf pan

Place loaf pan in freezer while softening ice cream. Let ice cream stand at room temperature for 10 minutes, stirring until consistency of cream cheese. Once ice cream is thickly spreadable, remove pan from freezer. Spread ice cream over top of cakes and to edges of pan

Press remaining 4 cakes gently on top of ice cream, arranging in same manner as first layer. Tightly cover top of cake with overhanging plastic wrap. Freeze until fairly firm, about 3 hours

Fold mint  extract, if using, into thawed whipped topping. Once cake feels firm to touch, uncover top of cake. Invert onto platter, remove pan and plastic wrap. Frost sides and top of cake with thawed whipped topping

Refreeze for at least 2 hours or overnight. Thinly slice and serve

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend :D

Do What You LOVE

I have been a Barista for about 5 1/2 years now. I love it so much. If you know me you know I love to talk, coffee is all about customer service and learning your customers. Remembering what they like to drink is a plus but I like to take it a step farther. I like to know their name, what they do, what they like to do on their days off. You get to build a relationship with your customers and you may find life long friendships through them. Working in a coffee shop is all about having fun, being yourself, and being creative. What do you LOVE doing?

Serenity

Tonight my husband and I decided to go to the track in our neighborhood and walk a few miles. Every time we go I love to turn on my worship music and stare up at the night sky. It was so beautiful out tonight. One of my favorite worship songs is by Amy Grant, Your Great Name. It is such a powerful song full of hope. Every time I listen to the words I get lost in a place of serenity and have peace knowing that I have a great God and his love for me is more than I can ever know

671 Days

Love is the reason. Lifelong friendship is the gift. Kindness is the cause. Till' death do us part is the length. -Fawn Weaver

Today I have been married for 671 days! Everyday I feel like I learn something new, either about my husband, myself or marriage. I am reading a book called Sacred Marriage and it said -Marriage is not meant to make you happy (although happiness plays a huge part in your marriage) but it is meant to make you Holy- That sentence has stuck with me ever since I read it, I wondered why God would create marriage if it wasn't for our happiness. But I continued reading and it later wrote -In your marriage you are with someone 24/7. They see every great thing about you and every flaw. Your spouse can 'call you out' on your actions and attitudes towards different areas in your life that don't reflect the heart of Jesus- The more we confront ourselves about what we need to work on in life the more we can become like Jesus.

Random Treasures

Dimes, for about three years now I find dimes in the most random unexpected places and times. I did some research when I first starting finding dimes and I learned that it means things coming into existence. Things that I may have felt like I didn't achieve or experience in life were going to come back in full circle, leaving the feeling that I never missed out on anything that I wanted to experience, I had nothing holding me back. Dimes represent the number ten. Numbers have an interesting meaning, but the number ten holds meaning to an adventure, restoration and comfort. There are times in my life where I feel overwhelmed or wondering how everything is going to work out and it always bring a smile to my face when I see that God has placed a dime somewhere for me to find. I have saved all the dimes I have found over the years and it brings such comfort to my heart to see all the visible timesGod has been there for me and has sent me little reminders all along the way.
What are different ways you feel like God speaks to you? Dimes are just one way for me-God can always speak in creative out of the box ways!!
